1. Accepting these terms

By using the Munch Maze app or this website you accept these terms. When you create an account, with an email address, with Google or by linking your device, you accept them explicitly. How we handle your data is explained in the privacy policy.

2. The service

Munch Maze is an endless maze-chase game for Android and iOS: race through a neon maze that never ends, eat pellets, chain combos and stay ahead of the ghosts as the zones get harder, with the daily maze, missions, coins, characters and upgrades. You can play without an account; your game profile is then kept only on your phone. Accounts are optional (see section 3). With an account, your best score in endless also takes part in the online leaderboard, and the first run of each day's daily maze in the daily ranking.

This website presents the app, hosts the pages that our account emails link to, and offers the contact form.

3. Accounts

• You must be at least 14 years old to create an account.
• An account is made with an email address and a password (confirmed with a link we send you), with a Google account, or by linking the app on your phone ("device account", without an email address or password).
• A device account belongs to the app's installation on your phone: it is lost if you uninstall the app or change phone, unless you secure it first with an email address or with Google (Settings › Account). We can't recover a lost device account.
• Give accurate information, and keep your password, your phone and your Google account safe: they are what protects your account. Don't share your account with others.
• We may suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms.
• You can delete your account at any time in the app; what that deletes is explained in the privacy policy.

4. Your content

What you add to Munch Maze is your nickname, the results the app sends to the leaderboards and the messages you send us. You are responsible for it, and it stays yours. You allow us to store your nickname and your results and to show them to other players on the leaderboards, only as far as needed to run Munch Maze.

5. The game and fair play

• The game's coins are virtual: you earn them by playing and use them in the game to unlock characters and upgrades. No real money is involved: coins, characters and upgrades have no money value and can't be exchanged or paid out.
• Scores, bests, missions and the daily maze are for fun: they have no money value, can't be exchanged, and there are no prizes.
• Your progress (coins, characters, upgrades, missions and bests) is kept on your phone. If you uninstall the app or change phone, it can be lost, and we can't restore it.
• Play fair: don't manipulate the game, its results or the daily maze, for example by modifying the app or the requests it sends.
• The leaderboards show the results the app sends. We check every result automatically and refuse results the game can't produce. Only the first run of each day's daily maze counts for the daily ranking: it counts as soon as you open it, also if you quit it or close the app; later runs that day are practice.
• We may hide or remove results from the leaderboards that look faked or manipulated, or that break these terms, without telling you first, and suspend or delete accounts that cheat (section 3).

6. Acceptable use

Don't:

• create fake accounts, or pretend to be someone else;
• choose a nickname that is offensive, hateful, sexual or misleading;
• harass other people or send spam, also through the contact form;
• try to get into other people's accounts or into our systems;
• disrupt the service, for example by overloading it;
• collect data from the service with automated tools in a harmful way;
• spread malware, or use Munch Maze for anything unlawful.

7. Availability

We work to keep Munch Maze running, but features may change, pause or end, and maintenance or outages can happen. Playing doesn't need a connection; accounts and support messages do.

8. Liability

Munch Maze is provided "as is". As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages or for the loss of progress kept on your phone. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a liability that the law doesn't allow to exclude or limit, nor your rights as a consumer.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The current version is always published on this page, with its date at the top. If you keep using Munch Maze after a change, you accept the new version.

These terms are governed by Italian law. Disputes go to the courts provided by consumer and civil-procedure law; if you are a consumer living elsewhere, the mandatory protections of your country's law still apply.
